Who writes these guides
Every guide on Return Caribbean carries a byline that links back to this page, because a byline should mean something. The editorial team writing these guides is the same team that built the platform: people who have gone through parts of a Caribbean move themselves, or worked closely with employers and candidates who have, and who write with that experience rather than from a generic template.
How we source information
We source claims rather than assert them. Anything with a real consequence if it is wrong, visa requirements, tax treatment, minimum wage figures, work permit rules, is backed by a specific, checkable source named in the piece itself, usually a government agency or an official publication. Where the rules genuinely differ by island, or by your personal situation such as nationality or the type of visa you hold, we say so directly instead of flattening it into a single answer that only applies to some readers. Where something is uncertain, disputed, or likely to have changed since we last checked, we flag it as such rather than present it with false confidence, and we point you toward the official source to confirm before you rely on it.
Corrections
Rules change, government sites get restructured, and we make mistakes despite checking. If you find something in a guide that is wrong, outdated, or unclear, tell the editorial team through the contact page. We read every report, correct the guide, and note that a correction was made along with roughly when. We would rather hear about a small error early than have a reader make a decision based on something we got wrong.
